Thunderbolt 40 is the warmest wax in the Thunderbolt lineup. It is designed for conditions where free water beneath the ski creates suction, making strong water repellency critical to maintaining speed.

This affordable race wax helps skiers and snowboarders stay fast in spring races, warm-weather training sessions, and wet snow—without returning to fluorocarbon technology.

WAX TECHNOLOGY:

Thunderbolt 40 is powered by Fast Wax MS12, a highly hydrophobic additive combining high-density polyethylene with two types of advanced ceramic microspheres. Their large surface area amplifies the wax's water-repelling properties and improves lubricity at the ski base.

The microspheres' strong structure also provides excellent abrasion resistance. This helps the wax retain its speed and durability even when warm, coarse, or dirty snow creates demanding running conditions.

MS12 contains no PTFE or intentionally added forever chemicals. Thunderbolt race waxes are engineered and made in the USA using additives listed on the EPA TSCA Inventory and registered under REACH.

WHEN TO USE:

Choose Thunderbolt 40 when temperatures are between 30° and 50° F. It is the best Thunderbolt option for warm, wet, spring-like snow where water repellency is essential for breaking suction and maintaining glide.
