Thunderbolt 0 (White) - Peak Range -30° to 8° F
Introducing the new Fast Wax THUNDERBOLT race waxes. These waxes offer speed additives that are better for the environment than Fluorocarbons while still providing high speed and durability. Thunderbolt waxes use hydrophobic ceramic nano-spheres, which repel water and provide superior abrasion resistance. These waxes are designed to stand up to the speed-reducing friction created by extremely cold snow.
Wax Technology:
Thunderbolt 0 is a specially engineered ski wax made from a blend of five different waxes. It can be used by alpine racers to combat base burn and dissipate heat generated in high-G turns. Simply apply a layer of Thunderbolt 0 on top of your base prep and finish with your chosen race wax. Since Thunderbolt 0 is a hard wax, you will need to iron it in, let it cool, and then scrape it off. You will be amazed how easily Thunderbolt 0 irons in and scrapes out. You will not find another extreme cold weather wax that is so easy to apply. Iron Temperature 284° F.
When To Use:
There is no need to be afraid of dry, cold, fine-grained, powdery snow anymore when you are skiing on Thunderbolt 0. Ideally one should use Thunderbolt 0 when it is at or below zero degrees out.
YOUR HOME TOWN WAX SINCE 1994
In 1994, a top Nordic ski shop tried Fast Wax, loved it, and started selling it. This endorsement led to more shops becoming dealers. By 1997, Fast Wax became the top hometown wax in the upper Midwest. Soon, it gained popularity nationwide and started shipping internationally, winning races by the early 2000s.
